For my final project in Issues in Art Education (6641) through the University of FL, I chose to research how the performing arts can enhance a fine arts program and how visual arts and theatre can transform low-income school districts. For the accompanying art project, I wrote and illustrated a children’s book (first page complete; rest in storyboard state) with a story about a little girl who, despite living in poverty, is inspired by the arts at school.
