Each day is a new opportunity, a new adventure, and I was blessed with an artist’s lens. Portraiture has always been a passion of mine, as every face is a work of art in and of itself. I’ve enjoyed working with different media throughout my life, most recently exploring the constraints and joy of watercolor, versus the forgiving medium of oil I’ve experimented with most. In our age of easy-access-to-everything, I try to get my hands on something new as often as possible.
I’m happiest when exploring with other people, especially children, and in nature. To see the world through a child’s eyes is an experience I hope to never lose. I’m constantly renewed by my work with kids, and I truly believe that every person with an interest to do so, can find the artist within. I live in Choccolocco, AL with my husband and three kids, and we are in the progress of establishing our farm as an arts hub in the community.
